The downside to this is that your graphics-card needs to render half of the screen which are outside of your field of view, to the right and left, so it's a large waist of precessing power. I put the screen about 2 meters away and enlarge it so the top and bottom borders reach the borders of my vive-field-of-view.
#Can i just use tridef 3d with game full
Also you will brobably need a gtx 1080 if you want to play a game like Crysis on full settings.
For this I had to spend several days to get a couple of games working great.
This is if you want it to encompass your whole field of view with the correct full 3D for both the foreground and the background, just as if you were standing there in real life. It takes a lot of experimenting to get it right though. The head tracking for instance is only 90-95 % correct which makes me nauseus and correct 3d with less artifacts is a lot more important in my opinion. Tridef has better 3D support (less stereo-conflikts with shadows and such) than vorpx and I don't want to use the extra features in vorpx like headtracking etc. Yes this works great! For me personally it's a better experience than vorpx.
